Rinconada Surf Houses - La Barca

We loved our one week here: super clean, large room and great amenities with lots of social activities and restaurants around and still also very quiet! it is close to Oasis where we took intensive spanish classes and surf lessons - and you get to attend yoga during the week! Would reccomend to anyone - our mixed group deally came from all walks of life which we loved

Fantastic little surf houses right near Oasis surf and Spanish shop in Rinconada. Easy access to restaurants and bars. We stayed for a week as part of a surf and Spanish class with Oasis. Rooms are a good size, ours had an attached kitchenette which was also stocked with ground coffee, toaster, microwave, two burner stove and a fridge. The common area is cute and friendly, a swimming pool, outdoor shower and a shared kitchen is available. For our Spanish classes we had them held in a section next to the common area and noise was never a problem. Staff all really friendly and helpful. Roger the owner is particularly nice and friendly. The family live on site and are all really helpful. Would highly recommend.

Great location and very peaceful accommodation. The pool is perfect to lounge at or dip into after the beach. The cafe in front is excellent and has multiple healthy options to choose from. Staff is very friendly and the cutest kitty lives here too! Across the street there are many more options for food and drink

We didn't take surf lessons but our stay was amazing! We were in El Muelle which is a large unit with a kitchen and open air living room upstairs. Also a 2 PC washroom and water cooler upstairs which is very convenient. Downstairs a king bed with a large bathroom, huge shower with hot water and good pressure and two patios with screens for a beautiful cross breeze. You can watch the sunset from the living room or go up on the roof. The pool and common area is a beautiful peaceful oasis. Pool is always clean and not too much chlorine. Walking distance (10 - 15 min) to 4 beaches although you will need to climb on the way back. There are always lots of taxis that are very cheap. Cafe Nopal around the corner is fantastic. Lots of great restaurants in the area. El Nene was great for an upscale meal but there are lots of options. 15 minute walk to the mercado (great fish) or you can go to Chedraui about the same distance. We loved this place. Riconada is a great area..safe quiet but close to everything you need. The people who work at La Barca are wonderful. Keep it spotless.

I stayed in La Barca Surf House in of the suites. It’s a cool place with a pool surrounded by palms and lush greenery. Common areas include a kitchen and dining area and pool. Every other day they will clean your room. Cleanliness is at a high standard. Room is a decent size ussualy comes with balcony. Some rooms have A/C, all have ceiling mounted fans. My room did not have A/C and I used only fan, even it was quite hot outside I felt comfotrable inside. At sunset, you can enjoy panoramic views of Puerto while practising yoga from a palapa (the palapa/rooftop is open only during yoga classes). I felt welcome in the house and have met many interesting people there. All staff are very friendly.

Friendly, yet rather invisible staff. The rooms are good but not isolated at all. If you need a certain temperature to sleep, the AC has to kept switched on. There are dogs in the compound, one of them not being very nice. Barking and peeing while walking can be disturbing to guests at times. The pool is great, yet often abandoned but very clean.

Very clean, nice, tasteful, and well located. A mirror in the room would be perfect. There were some dogs in the common areas, which wasn't pleasant. The hierarchy of authority among the staff wasn't clear to me.

Rented the whole house for our stay in Puerto Escondido. The home is strategically located 5min walking distanve from playa Carizales and also 5-7min walking distance from coffee shops, eateries and shops. Our stay there was enjoyable. The pool was clean and spacious and the top floor roof terraza was perfect to relax in hammocks. Highly recxomend staying here.
